Steve Jarding PDF Print E-mail

Steve Jarding has spent 30 years working, writing, teaching and practicing politics. His list of successes on the campaign trail, in the classroom and as a writer and commentator of American politics is long and impressive.

In 2006, Jarding set up and served as Senior Advisor in Jim Webb's improbable but successful campaign for U.S. Senate from Virginia over incumbent George Allen, a victory which turned the balance of power in the Senate.

Following that hard fought victory, Jarding signed on with the National Education Association as a general consultant to assess the NEA's entire national political operations for 2006.

In 2001, Jarding was campaign manager for underdog businessman Mark Warner's successful bid for Governor of Virginia, a campaign recognized by national pundits and national news organizations as the best run campaign in the country.

Twice he has run national leadership PACs for national political leaders first for U.S. Senator Bob Kerrey of Nebraska in 1998 and later for U.S. Senator John Edwards of North Carolina in 1992.
